Download Media Player
If your computer is not Authorware enabled, you will be required to download the plug-in. Most new browsers have this common plug-in. Don't be intimidated by this download, it is virus free and we are here to help you. If you have trouble, just call us at (800)416-6786, 8-6 M-F EST.
Downloading the Authorware Web Player will permit you to see the full screen video simulations, hear the audio, and benefit from the highly interactive nature of the Inter@ctiveLearning Series. Your education is worth the few extra minutes.
However, if you do not want to download the plug-in, you can always purchase one of our CoursePaks which include a 30 day money back guarantee.

Internet Explorer - AOL

Plays any Authorware application, created with Authorware version 6, 5.x, 4 or 3.5. (AOL not formally supported)
Note: Once the download begins, a status window will open. If you click off of this window, it will move behind other open windows. To view your download progress, simply click on the download window on the minimize bar at the bottom of your screen.
Step 2:
For Netscape users, after the download is complete, find the file named "Authorware_Web_Player_Full.exe" on your desktop and click on the application to start the auto installer. Restart Netscape to avoid the possibility of a crash.
For Explorer users, you will not see a status bar until the download is complete. After the message pane appears to ask you to install the plug-in, we recommend that you restart your browser.
Note: You may also have to restart your computer to utilize the new plug-in.
Step 3:
Return to the page you started or click here > RUN DEMO < to launch a generic online tutorial of the Inter@ctiveLearning Series.

How long does it take to download the Macromedia Authorware Player?

The time required to download the Authorware Web Player will depend on the speed of your connection to the Internet. The table below gives approximate times for various connection services:

Service Speed Time (approx)
Telephone modem 56.6 kbps 15 minutes
ISDN telephone 128 kbps 10 minutes
Digital Subscriber Line (lite) 384 kbps 4 minutes
Digital Subscriber Line 1 mbps <1 minute
Cable modem lite 365 kbps 4 minutes
Cable modem 1 mbps <1 minute
T-1 line 1.54 mbps <1 minute
Do I need a special modem or connection to play the program?
No. The minimum requirement is a simple telephone modem operating at 56.6 kbps.
What determines the quality of playback?
The first page or two of the interactive sessions may play a bit sluggish as the cache loads, but subsequent pages play very fast. This is because many of the repeated images need to be temporarily stored on your system.

The quality of playback is enhanced if you have a connection to the Internet that is faster than 56.6 kbps, although 56.6kbps provides acceptable performance. If you have a DSL lite or Cable modem lite, playback is extremely fast.

If you are having difficulty, please contact us. We are here to help!
